Project Youth Ministry
Ephesians 2:10
Gather, Grow, Go
Project Y.M. exists to create opportunities for students to GATHER and fellowship with one another, help them to GROW to become Christ-like followers of Jesus, and encourage them to GO out and share the Gospel.
Our Philosophy of Ministry
The name “Project Y.M.” has two meanings, both rooted in the book of Ephesians. While the name itself comes directly from Ephesians 2:10, the organization’s foundation is built on the preceding verses, Ephesians 2:1-9. These verses emphasize that we are saved by grace through faith alone, not by our works.
Sanctification
The first meaning of "Project" highlights the process of sanctification, where God works on and in us after we have received His grace. The name serves as a reminder to students that they are a work in progress in God's eyes. This idea is further enriched by the Greek word for "workmanship" in Ephesians 2:10, which is poiema. This word can be translated as "poem" or "something made," suggesting that we are not just a project, but a masterpiece created by God.
Good Works
The second meaning of "Projects" refers to the call to perform good works and serve others. As stated in Ephesians 2:10, we are created to carry out these good works. In this sense, "projects" are the missions and tasks we undertake to serve God and others, showing our faith through our actions.
